Kerala rains: Death toll rises to 43, over one lakh people moved to relief camps

Malappuram: The worst affected districts in Kerala due to heavy rains and floods are Malappuram and Wayanad. Now a CCTV visual has gone viral on social media, where a man holding an umbrella can be seen escaping from the mudslide. Meanwhile, his mother fades into the falling mud. It is also reported that his wife and kid were also trapped under the mudslide.

Meanwhile, heavy rains and floods in the state have killed 43 people. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in seven districts of the state. Red alerts have been issued in Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur and Kozhikode. According to sources, over one lakh people moved to relief camps in the state.
