Fr Jijo said it only took 15 to 30 days to construct one house.  The houses have been constructed using traditional materials such as used roof tiles.

Thousands of people had lost their homes along with their hopes during floods that ravaged Kerala in August last year. Even after several months, flood victims still await the flood relief promised by the government.
