Thrissur: Kerala police arrested a Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) leader and his friend on Friday (May 3) for allegedly raping a married woman multiple times. The accused are identified as Mattathur DYFI area secretary Manappully Srikanth and his friend Sandeep.
Srikanth and the woman were in a relationship, and later he took photos of her and started to rape her. Srikanth's friend Sandeep also raped the woman multiple times since 2016.
The victim lodged a complaint at a police station only two days ago. It was Koratty sub inspector B Binoy who arrested the two based on the directions from Chalakkudy deputy superintendent of police K Lalji.
