Kerala native carjacked, shot dead by thief in Florida

Florida:  A 68-year-old Kottayam native was shot dead after being carjacked at gunpoint by a bank robber at Valrico, Florida in the United States. The deceased is identified as Mathew Korattiyil of Ettumanoor, Kottayam. Reports say Korattiyil was attacked by the robber in a parking lounge on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the bank robber James Hanson while trying to flee, got into Korattiyil's car. He then asked Korattiyil to drive towards the parking lot exit. Hours later, Korattiyil's body was found.
