Kerala mother confesses to killing 16-year-old daughter, arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: Manjusha, the mother of missing Meera, confessed to killing her daughter in Kerala as she stood against her relationship with her live-in partner.

According to sources, Manjusha, 32, killed her 16- year-old daughter and disposed her body in a well with the help of her partner. Manjusha and her live-in partner Aneesh have been remanded in judicial custody on Saturday night (June 22).

On June 11, the girl's grandparents filed a complaint before the police alleging her daughter and granddaughter are missing. Reports said the murder happened on June 11. Meera's internal organs would be sent for tests to identify whether she was sexually assaulted.

Manjusha reportedly told her husband that their daughter had been missing since June 10. She also told her husband that she was going to Tamil Nadu, in search of her daughter, and fled with Aneesh.  During the investigation, police tracked the couple in Tamil Nadu and questioned them. Later, Manjusha confessed to the killing.
