Kozhikode: Two mobile applications, Call Auto and Auto Driver were launched in the state on Saturday in Kozhikode, Kerala. The Call Auto application enables passengers to book an auto rickshaw anywhere in the state. The Auto Driver application will help auto drivers locate passengers and connect with them.
Customers will not be charged for using the app services and will only need to pay drivers for the commute.
The mobile application also assures safety of customers. A “red alert” option in the application allows a passenger to inform police in the case of an emergency. The app works using GPS and the details of the customers are encoded in the system.
