Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala BJP president PS Sreedharan Pillai said he would file a defamation case against chief election officer Teeka Ram Meena. Earlier, Teeka Ram Meena had informed media that Sreedharan Pillai had called him and apologised for his mistakes, but later went on to make loose statements.

Now Pillai has come forward and said that he never apologised to the chief election officer. Regarding this issue, Pillai said that he will file a defamation case against Teeka Ram Meena.

Pillai had criticised Teeka Ram when he issued a statement against Thrissur's NDA candidate Suresh Gopi. Despite the Election Commission's order, Suresh Gopi had allegedly used the name of Lord Ayyappa in his campaign speech. Regarding this Thrissur collector TV Anupama had sent a notice to Suresh Gopi and Teeka Ram stood by her action.
