Posters hailing Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan as heroes were erected in Amritsar. The hoardings were allegedly put up by Amritsar Municipal Councillor Harpal Singh Verka who is known to be Sidhu’s close aide.
The hoarding with pictures of Pak PM Imran Khan and Navjot Singh Sidhu called them real heroes for making the Kartarpur corridor a reality.
However, hoardings that appeared on Tuesday afternoon, were quickly taken down within hours.
Navjot Singh Sidhu was the first Indian politician who received the invitation to the opening ceremony bearing number 001 from Imran Khan two days ago.
Punjab government has already permitted him to visit Pakistan on November 9 when the Kartarpur corridor will be formally inaugurated.
