New Delhi: A high-level meeting will be held on Kartarpur corridor on Sunday (July 14) at Attari-Wagah border. Ahead of the meeting, the apex body of Sikhs, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s (SGPC) leader Dr Roop Singh said that the talks will lead to end hurdles to cross the border. He hoped that the corridor would be opened for the public soon and it would help Sikhs to visit their holy city that is situated in Punjab, Pakistan. He also hoped that the corridor will also boost trade between India and Pakistan. Meanwhile, Pakistan's federal Cabinet on Friday (July 12) removed pro-Khalistan leader Gopal Singh Chawla from the Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC). The development is the result of India raising concern over Chawla's (who holds anti-India sentiments) inclusion in the committee. Kartarpur corridor connects the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib (in Punjab, India) and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (in Punjab, Pakistan). The meeting will be held in Wagah, Pakistan.
