Karnataka: River Krishna overflows due to heavy rains in Maharashtra; bridge submerged in Bagalkot

Bagalkot: Due to heavy rains in Maharashtra, River Krishna in Bagalkot in Karnataka is overflowing as there is heavy inflow of water. The Mahishavadagi- Rabakavi bridge has been submerged. The bridge was a connectivity to Atani in Belagavi. Currently the district administration has started boating services to help people cross the bridge. At least 25,300 cusecs have flown into Hipparagi reservoir. The River Krishna had dried up in summer. River Krishna is reportedly overflowing at Kankanavadi, Maigur and Mutthur regions.
