Karnataka floods: NDRF personnel stuck on tree, rescued by IAF chopper

Belagavi: An NDRF personnel who was engaging in rescue operations was stuck atop a tree while the Tungabhadra raged. The personnel was rescued by an IAF chopper.

The Indian Air Force chopper Mi-17 was used to winch up the stranded rescue personnel.

The IAF stated that as many as 365 people were rescued from flood-hit regions. 1050 food packets, 980 water bottles were air dropped at Kharatkopa village in Karnataka.
