Bengaluru: Former PM and JD(S) chief Deve Gowda, while speaking to the media, was heard saying that there was no doubt that mid-term elections will be held in Karnataka. But reacting to the same, chief minister HD Kumaraswamy has said that his father's words were misinterpreted and that he was speaking about local body elections. Following this, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao said that the government is safe and stable and there will not be any mid-term election. Speaking about the development, BJP state president Yeddyurappa has slammed both Congress and the JD(S) for issuing contrasting statements and confusing the  audience.
