Karwar: A tipper truck collided crashed into a tanker transporting diesel at Bengre near National Highway 66 at Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district. Following the accident, diesel began leaking from the tanker. When news of the incident spread, people thronged the spot with buckets, containers and bottles to fill the diesel leaking from the vehicle.
According to sources, the driver of the tanker applied brakes as he approached a hump. The driver of the tipper truck, which was right behind, did not notice the hump and crashed into the vehicle ahead of him.
