Karnataka: Crocodile falls into well, rescued by forest officers

Belagavi: A 10-foot long crocodile that fell into a 40-foot deep well at Naganur in Belagavi was rescued by forest officials. The forest official under the leadership of Prabhakar Gokak completed the rescue mission with the help of a crane and locals.

Gowrabai Nimbalkar was walking around the well to switch on the electric motor that was attached to it, when she saw a crocodile inside it. She informed forest officials, who visited the spot and took stock of the situation.

Then left and returned with necessary equipment and managed to rescue the crocodile.

The crocodile was released in Hidkal reservoir.
