Karnataka crisis: Speaker Ramesh Kumar to act according to law; says 'I don't like deals'

Bengaluru: Karnataka Speaker Ramesh Kumar has clarified that his actions are in accordance with the law and said that he would not entertain any private visits. He insisted that they come to the office and discuss the issue. Everything will be sorted out in the Speaker's office, he said. Ramesh Kumar also said that the turmoil in Karnataka is because of the urgency created by the BJP. "If not there is no calamity in the state," he said. He firmly said that he would not allow the postponement of the Assembly session. The rebel MLAs will meet the Speaker today and the Supreme Court has directed Ramesh Kumar to take a decision regarding the resignation letters by the end of the day.
