Karnataka Congressman Ramalinga Reddy hits out at his own party for Lok Sabha poll rout

Bengaluru: After being routed in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, looks like things are on the boil within the Karnataka Congress. Former minister and senior leader Ramalinga Reddy has hit out at the party leadership.

Reddy who has served as Karnataka home minister, took to Twitter to write an open letter against the Congress.

In his tweet, he said that the party suffered a huge defeat due to lack of the Congress party’s elderly presence in the state coalition government. He also linked the lack of organisational vision of some Congress ministers to the defeat that the party suffered.

He further went on to say that the party's leading members and supervisors of the state have stumbled on party's internal problem, adding that the coalition government of Congress-JD(S) also lost electoral passion due to lack of communication.

The ruling Congress-JD(S) coalition in Karnataka was left dumbfounded after the BJP walked away with 25 Parliamentary seats out of 28. The Congress and JD(S) bagged only one seat each.
