Vijayapura: On Friday (May 17), Congress leader Reshma Padekanur was found dead under Kolhar bridge in Karnataka's Vijayapura. After the police officials recovered the body, Reshma's husband, Khaja Bandenawaz Padekanur, has accused All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Toufiq Ismail Sheikh of murdering his wife.
According to the complaint filed by her husband with the Kolhar police, Reshma owed Rs 13 lakh to Toufiq. As she failed to repay the money, she was allegedly murdered, Padekanur said.
