Bengaluru:  After a meeting of the party leaders, JD(S) MLAs were taken to a resort near Devanahalli, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, last night (July 8). All JD(S) ministers along with their counterparts in Congress have resigned from their posts to allow for a Cabinet reshuffle. The coalition government is hoping that rebel leaders will return and withdraw their resignation and that they can safeguard the government. Thus, to prevent poaching of JD(S) leaders, the MLAs have been shifted to Prestige Golfshire on Nandi Hills road.

Earlier, it was reported that JD(S) had booked rooms for MLAs in a resort in Kodagu and even the manager of the resort had confirmed the same. However, the venue was shifted to Prestige Golfshire, where the MLAs are currently holed up.
