Karnataka coalition crisis: BSP MLA Mahesh to not attend Monday’s trust vote

Bengaluru: In what comes as a major drawback for the Kumaraswamy-led coalition government in Karnataka, N Mahesh, the lone BSP MLA from Kollegal has said that he won’t be attending the session on Monday (July 22). N Mahesh, who was in the Kumaraswamy cabinet was the minister earlier for primary and secondary education, but later resigned.

As per the Speaker Ramesh Kumar’s statement, the confidence motion will be put to vote on Monday (July 22). If Mahesh abstains from voting, there would one vote less for the coalition.
