Kanwar Yatra 2019: Kanvarias bowled over by bike, T-shirts of PM Modi, CM Yogi prints

Faridabad: Kanvarias, devotees of Lord Shiva, are all set for the Kanwar Yatra or the pilgrimage to Haridwar and allied places, to pay obeisance to Lord Shiva. This year, the main attractions are the bike ride, T-shirts with prints of images of PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Various stalls have been set up along the pilgrimage route and shopkeepers are giving packages to pilgrims who are also called Bhole. The package includes clothes and bags for the occasion. Meanwhile Shivaji Baba, a monk, rode a bullet motorbike, making other Bholes follow suit. The Kanvar Yatra is an annual pilgrimage of devotees of Shiva to Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to fetch holy waters of Ganges River.
