Jammu and Kashmir: First election to BDC post Article 370 abrogation; BJP wins 81 seats

Over 200 independents were elected to the post of chairperson in the first-ever Block Development Council or BDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir, with the Bharatiya Janata Party winning in 81 of the 310 blocks.
