India First with Vivek Agnihotri: Beware of the enemy within

With the ruins of Nalanda in the backdrop, filmmaker and author Vivek Agnihotri begins this episode of India First, dealing with the history of traitors since the era when some locals had led Bakhtiyar Khilji to the ancient university. Khilji demolished the university and burned the library rich with ancient knowledge to ashes.

Agnihotri deals with the Mughal and British eras too when their victories in battles and wars were ensured by some local people. And then there was the regime of Indira Gandhi when the intelligentsia, as well as the government apparatus, was on the KGB payroll.

Drawing a parallel with the historical incidents above and the reaction of elements like Congress president Rahul Gandhi, journalists Barkha Dutt and Rajdeep Sardesai, Agnihotri says people like the traitors of the ancient and medieval eras exist in our midst even today, as shows their reaction to the Pulwama terror attack by Pakistan-sponsored outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, India's airstrike on Pakistan's Balakot and the arrest of IAF pilot Abhinnandan Varthaman in PoK.

It's a shame, Agnihotri says. Listen in.
