Independence Day: Political netas celebrate India's freedom across nation

Bengaluru: Minutes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolour flag at Red Fort on Thursday (August 15), several political netas across India celebrated Independence Day.

From Rajasthan chief minister to Karnataka Congress, several party leaders hoisted the tricolour flag and paid respects to the nation's pride.

The national anthem followed the flag hoisting ceremony at Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot's residence.

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarakaryavah Suresh 'Bhaiyyaji' Joshi hoisted the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day at RSS Headquarters in Nagpur.
