ICFFK: Tribal students in Kerala watch movie on big screen for first time

Thiruvananthapuram: The second edition of the International Children's Film Festival of Kerala (ICFFK) began on Friday (May 10). Minister AK Balan inaugurated the festival at Tagore Theatre in Thiruvananthapuram. Today (May 12) tribal students, for the first time, got an opportunity to watch a movie on the big screen.

More than 200 students from the tribal community came to watch the movie. The students watched 'Uyare' movie starring actress Parvathy. The students hoped that they will get an opportunity next year at the same time to watch a new movie.

The week-long ICFFK will see 144 movies, ranging from new ones to classics, being screened. Kairali, Sree, Nila, Kalabhavan, Tagore Theatre, and Nishagandhi will be the venues.
