Hyderabad: Traffic police in Hyderabad have found an innovative way to ensure that motorists abide by traffic rules. The cops used positive reinforcement and distributed free PVR Cinema movie tickets at the Panjagutta circle to those who didn’t violate traffic rules.
30 movie tickets were distributed to those motorists who had no pending tickets for any traffic violations. Similarly, other police stations will carry out similar vehicle inspections once a month.
The movie ticket coupons issued by PVR Cinemas could be redeemed within 90 days for a movie of the motorists’ choice.
The police are conducting occasional checks and if the motorists are found with pending challans, they are asked to clear the challans as soon as possible, and those with zero challans, are rewarded with a free movie ticket.
