In the wee hours of Friday morning, the four accused in the rape and murder case of a Hyderabad doctor were shot dead in a police encounter. Reportedly, the accused were taken to the crime scene for recreation of the incident, and as they tried to escape, the police shot them dead. This development in the case that shook the nation has split the society into two. While some people are jubilant with a sense of justice being served, there are others who believe that the encounter was appalling vigilantism, which broke the law in order to serve justice. In this episode of Not For Women Only with me Sunita Iyer, we take a look at what makes the society have a split opinion, given that justice is what we all want.
