Gujarat ATS, Coast Guard arrest 9 Iranians for smuggling drugs worth Rs 500 crore

Ahmedabad: A major attempt to smuggle in Rs 500 crore worth drugs from Pakistan was foiled on Wednesday after the Indian Coast Guard and Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) personnel intercepted a boat and seized around 100 kg heroin.

After being intercepted, the boat crew set the vessel on fire and also tried to destroy the drugs. The ATS reportedly arrested nine Iranians from the boat.
