Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda weeps, confesses mistake of not honouring party loyalists

Bengaluru: Former prime minister and JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda shed tears at a meeting with his party’s karyakartas. The leader wept as he confessed that he had sidelined his karyakartas in the coalition government. But he promised that he would not make that mistake again.

Crying publicly is something that the Gowda family is famous for. During his tenure as the chief minister, CM HD Kumaraswamy has wept on many occasions for different reasons. The most famous of his crying incidents was when he wept saying, “I am like Vishakanta. You don’t know the pain I am going through.”
