Faridabad: Haryana farmers who are on strike in front of Industrial Model Town (IMT) for the past 22 months, will hold a black flag protest when the state chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will arrive in Faridabad as part of the Jan Ashirvad Yatra. They will stage a protest against the chief minister on Faridabad bypass road and shout slogans. This decision was unanimously taken at the protest venue of IMT.

Farmers were seen shouting slogans against the government. The protest is against the encroachment of 120 acres of farmers land from five villages, Nawada, Chandawali, Machhgar, Mujholi and Sotai. The land was given to build IMT building. After heated arguments, the government paid the compensation to farmers.

Now, farmers are demanding 100 yards of plot and job for one person from each family at companies in IMT. Repeated pleas to chief minister and state officials have fallen on deaf ears, farmers said. So, the farmers from these five villages will be present protesting with black flags on August 28.
