Bengaluru: A 31-year-old Egyptian woman has filed a police complaint against a Bengaluru hospital accusing the doctors of wrongly diagnosing her with cancer.

Magda Haroun Ali said she was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Seshadripuram in September 2018 as she suffered from fever. However, Ali’s fever was wrongly diagnosed as cancer, and the doctors recommended her to go for chemotherapy.

Days after receiving treatments, Ali felt suspicious and approached Bengaluru's Kidwai Laboratory and another diagnostic centre in Mumbai. Shockingly, the doctors declared her cancer-free. Taking the second opinion from other doctors, Ali demanded an explanation from Apollo Hospital.

As the hospital staff failed to answer her questions, Ali filed a complaint at the Sheshadripuram police station saying that the doctors had put her life in danger by wrongly diagnosing her with cancer and administering wrong medication. She also claimed she had spent lakhs of rupees for treatment.
