JD(S) chief Deve Gowda visited Adichunchanagiri Mutt, recently. He was welcomed with 'Modi Zindabad' slogans and also the 'Nikhil Elliddiyappa' chant. Deve Gowda's son and JD(S) candidate from Mandya, Nikhil has been regularly mocked during his campaign with 'Nikhil Elliddiyappa' (Where are you, Nikhil) slogans. BJP Yuva Morcha secretary Vijayendra posted the video of the incident with this message: "Warm welcome to HD Devegowda by the students when he has visited the Adichunchanagiri mutt. Don’t you still believe in the mood of the people?"
