Daring act: Kerala women scale high wall to escape from prison

Thiruvananthapuram: Two prisoners escaped from a women's prison and correctional home in Attukulangara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Tuesday (June 25). The accused are identified as Shilpa and Sandya. The escaped inmates’ photographs and identification details have been sent to various police stations.

Shilpa was a remand prisoner in a cheque fraud case and Sandya is also a remand prisoner of a theft case.

Meanwhile, police officials have collected the CCTV footage of the escape. The Kerala Police are engaged with the prison officers to arrest the escaped duo. Sources said the women escaped from the prison while they scaled the high wall of the prison.
