Dagger of deadline hangs on Maharashtra: President's rule the only solution if BJP-Shiv Sena deadlock continues

The current BJP government's term in Maharashtra came to an end on November 8. Despite the fact that BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the state, it is short of 40 MLAs to form the government. The problem started after Shiv Sena demanded equal share of power and seats including the post of chief minister.
