Kolar: Congress MLA KY Nanjegowda from Malur has said that the political scenario in Karnataka is such that even five-year-olds question if MLAs can be bought and sold.

The Karnataka legislator said he was questioned about this by his five-year-old grandson and he was embarrassed by it.

Nanjegowda’s statements came at a time when Karnataka is reeling under immense pressure across party lines. So much so that the faith in the current government will be put to test on July 18. Chief minister HD Kumaraswamy will face the trust vote in the Assembly on Thursday.

Nanjegowda said that he was feeling ashamed at the current scenario and has expressed his trust in Kumaraswamy.
