As per offerings promised to God, friends showered the winner of Basavakalyan CMC elections with 162 litres of milk in Bidar.
Bidar: Congress candidate from Basavakalyan City Muncipal council who won the local body elections was showered with milk after the results were announced.
Mallikarjun Shanmukhappa Bokke registered a win in Ward no 21 over his JD(S) counterpart by 181 votes. His friends had promised to shower him with milk if he won the election.
101 litres of milk was used in the ceremony at Vitthala Rukmini temple at Basavakalyan in Bidar. He was taken to Hanuman temple and showered with 61 litres of milk.
