Ballari: Bear cub trapped in net placed for hare; forest department blamed

Ballari: Hunting wild animals has become a common sport for the people of Ballari. According to sources, the people hunt several kinds of wild animals for meat in this region.

On the occasion of Ugadi, miscreants placed a trap to catch hares for meat in a hilly region in Ballari. But, a bear cub was trapped in the net.

In a video which came to light on Tuesday (April 9), shows a bear cub being trapped in a net which was placed to catch hares. After several minutes of being stuck in the net, the cub finally managed to escape.

After the video which went viral on social media, the forest officials are on the look out to arrest the miscreants.
