Article 370 scrapped: Indians celebrate in Varanasi, Pathankot

Varanasi/Pathankot: The Centre has scrapped Article 370 in Kashmir and has bifurcated it into two union territories Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. Many states have welcomed this move. People are celebrating in Varanasi and Pathankot. Henceforth these two union territories will also come under the Indian constitution and will not have special provisions. Muslim women were seen celebrating in Varanasi and said that they are freed. BJP workers celebrated in Pathankot with trumpets and drums in front of Syama Prasad Mukherjee's memorial. Mukherjee was one of the BJP leaders who had vehemently opposed Article 370. Now people can have their own homes in Kashmir, BJP workers said.
