East Godavari: A tourist boat carrying 61 passengers capsized in Godavari river on Sunday (September 15) afternoon. Two teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) immediately began the rescue operation.
Unfortunately, seven tourists have been found dead in the tragic accident.
The tourist boat capsized near Kacchuluru village in Devipatnam Mandal of the East Godavari district.
There were 61 persons onboard, among which 50 were tourists, and 11 were boat staff. They were on a tour visiting Papikondalu hills near river Godavari.
