Chittoor: A speeding car collided with a stationary truck on Friday (June 7) morning killing five people and injuring three others on the highway near Duravarajupalle village in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, the accident took place when the passengers of the car were travelling from Achampet to Tirupati. The deceased are identified as Vijaya Bharati (38), Prasanna (14), Chenna Kesava Reddy (12), Driver Prem Raju (35) and Ankayya (40)
After the mishap, Renigunta Urban Police rushed to the spot and had the injured admitted to Ruya Hospital, Tirupati.
