Nellore: As many as 11 people were apprehended in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district for smuggling red sander logs. Police estimated that the sanders at Rs 11 lakh.
A car and two-wheeler were seized from the smugglers.
DSP Gudur Babu Prasad addressed media persons stating that special raids were conducted in the area and they found that the sandalwood was being prepared for shipping to Chennai.
