Man from Vijayawada arrested for cheating people and posing as a deputy superintendent at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The man has been arrested and cash worth Rs 17 lakh has been seized along with 272 grams of gold.
Vijayawada: A man from Vijayawada posed as deputy superintendent of at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and even made a fake ID card in order to cheat people across Andhra Pradesh.
The man, Saladi Ram Gopal, and his wife Saladi Revati had taken money and valuables from people with disabilities, with the promise of offering them jobs. The duo has been taken into custody by the crime department of police and Rs 17 lakh worth cash and 272 grams of gold have been seized.
