A baby elephant died of an electric shock in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district. The elephant died as it got stuck to an electric transformer on a stretch of the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary
Chittoor: A baby elephant that entered an agricultural field in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor region was electrocuted on July 21. According to sources, the elephant was aged one to two years, and its mother had left the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary around midnight on July 20.
The elephant died as it got stuck to an electric transformer on a stretch of the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary. Reports said this is the third incident in the limits of the sanctuary this month.
