Andhra Pradesh: 3 found dead outside temple in Anantapur; Kadiri Police suspect witchcraft

Anantapur: Two women and a man were found dead with their throats slit outside a temple in Korthikota of Tanakal in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh on Monday (July 15) morning.

According to reports, it is said that the miscreants had performed human sacrifice (witchcraft) as a lunar eclipse is expected to occur on Tuesday (July 16). The deceased victims are identified as Shivarami Reddy, Kamalamma, and Sathyalakshmi.

Speaking to reporters, Kadiri deputy superintendent of police, Srinivasalu calmed the people in the area who were worried about the existence of witchcraft. He said that strict action would be taken against the culprits.
