Varanasi: Soldier Tej Bahadur had filed his nomination to contest the recent Lok Sabha election in Varanasi from where PM Modi stood as a candidate. However, his nomination was cancelled. Bahadur had appealed in the court against the action taken.

An Allahabad court has now made six persons, including PM Narendra Modi and the Election Commission, a party in the case. The decision was taken at a special court on Sunday. Tej Bahadur gained popularity after he released a video stating the condition of substandard food being served to army personnel at the borders. He was later dismissed from service and had filed his nomination to fight the Lok Sabha election in Varanasi. However, his application was rejected citing legal reasons.
