Air strike: Panicked tourists cancel bookings, tourism takes hit in Kashmir

The news of air strike and tension between India and Pakistan did worry the tourists already in Kashmir and it majorly led to cancellation of advance bookings. With the situation under control now and the flights operating, the tourism industry is slowly gaining some foothold. But the impact of the news is major and one of the major resorts in Gulmarg faced about 70% cancellation of  bookings, said Nasir Mehmood Khan, a resort officer in Gulmarg, Kashmir.
