ABVP members force principal to apologise for criticising BJP celebrations over air strikes

Vijayapura: ABVP members from Vijayapura, Karnataka, allegedly forced the principal of a private college to go down on his knees and apologise for writing comments on Facebook criticising the BJP for celebrating the recent air strikes on Pakistan. The students staged a protest and withdrew only after the principal apologised and promised to never repeat the same. ABVP leaders also allegedly demanded that the principal be terminated from service and threatened to intensify protests if their demands were not met.

Speaking to MyNation, Harman Jot, ABVP member said, “One must respect one's teachers, but teachers should also understand the kind of message that they are sending to students through such posts.”
