IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman set foot on Indian soil on Friday at around 9.30 PM, two days after he landed in Pakistan. As he crossed the Attari-Wagah border last night, the entire nation celebrated the moment and welcomed the hero in different parts of the country. At Anaberu village in Davanagere district in Karnataka too, people awaited his arrival for hours, and as the news of wing commander crossing the border broke, they burst crackers welcoming him to the homeland.
