Davanagere: Power cut delays polling; citizens partake in candle light voting

A power cut at a polling booth in Honnali forced polling officers to keep the doors of the booth shut as people arrived to cast their vote. When there was no sign of power supply being restored, the officers opened the booth, used candles and commenced polling, much to relief of voters who had been waiting in queue for several minutes.
