Speaking at Khanapur in Belagavi, Union minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship and Lok Sabha candidate from Uttara Kannada constituency, Ananth Kumar Hegde slammed the Congress and called them incompetent. He said for the first time in 70 years, there will be no Congress symbol on the ballot paper. The BJP leader was glad that the Congress will not field any candidate from the constituency this time. The coalition will field a JD(S) candidate according to a seat-sharing deal. “The alliance (JDS and Congress) have found a scapegoat so let's have a feast at his cost on May 23 (on the day of election results),” he said.
