Voting was disrupted in Imphal that faced the second phase of Lok Sabha election on Thursday. A mob stormed into polling station 6/10 Kyamgei Muslim Makha Leikai in Manipur's Imphal East district and destroyed the EVMs.
The security personnel on the spot were forced to resort to lathi charge and firing shots in the air to disperse the mob.
What exactly led to this incident is unclear. More details are awaited.
